Puerto Rico’s Stephanie del Valle was crowned Miss World 2016, after defeating 116 contestants across the globe, in a dazzling ceremony held in the United States.

Miss World 2015, Spain’s Mireia Lalaguna, crowned her 19-year-old successor, who is a law and communications student and model, on December 18 at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland, USA.

Dominican Republic’s Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez was named first runner-up, followed by second runner-up Natasha Mannuela from Indonesia.

The Philippines’ representative in the pageant, Catriona Gray, won one of the pre-pageant challenges, Multimedia. Catriona made it to the Top 5.
